Special Order & Presentation Rods

Special Order Rods are the ultimate expression of your personal whim and fancy. Every component of the rod will be diligently crafted to meet your specifications, (and to exceed your expectations). After discussing the desired rod characteristics, prototypes will be sent for your approval. The prototypes may offer a variety of options within the basic rod features for your approval. I will keep making the prototypes until every detail has been approved, and only then will I build the rod. It’s like having your own personal rod maker. (In fact, it is having your own personal rod maker.) These rods require a minimum of 18 months to deliverand a $2000 non-refundable deposit. The balance due will reflect the level of detail in the final product.

Presentation Rods are the ultimate expression of my own personal whim and fancy. I will build one about every three years and they will only be offered for sale when they are completed. The first two will be fly and spin kits: the Parmachene Belle, suitable for a young lady, and the Micky Finn, suitable for a young man. The kits expand on the tradition of Heddon’s “Lone Eagle” and each will have two complete rods, two fine matching reels, and hand-painted wood boxes.
